Military families: people that are near and dear to our heart. The military is actually who brought us together. Relocating Scott from the west all the way due east he landed in Virginia. That is not the only reason that it is dear to us. We have the highest respect and honor for these families. What they give, no one will ever understand. Meet Emily and Shayne. Married, pregnant and now deployed for 7 months, deployed without being able to meet his brand new baby girl until she is 6 months old…that’s unselfish giving.

Trash the Dress or Trash the Formal | Ashley | Virginia Senior Portrait Photographer
Sometimes it’s just fun to do something that is not the “typical setting” for a certain type of couture. That is exactly why we love doing Trash the Dress and Trash the Formal Shoots. Sometimes we find ourselves out shooting in the breaking of the waves of the Bay or Ocean. Then sometimes we find ourselves shooting in the depths of an urban setting in the dirty, yet beautiful alley ways of downtown and on top of buildings. That’s exactly what we did with Ashley. Ashley came to her shoot in the perfect color for a Trash the Dress in an outdoor location. We didn’t really trash her dress, but had fun trying!

Ah…it’s Tuesday afternoon and love is in the air. We just love the fact that we get to document people’s lives through photography. Britt and Da Niel are on the path to heading to the alter and they have entrusted us with their memories. On a Friday afternoon, we got to stroll around the beautiful downtown Norfolk are captured some awesome urban and historic areas with this beautiful engaged couple! We love the chance to do on location photography, especial outdoor photography when the weather is as beautiful as the couple that we are shooting.

We love photographing out high school seniors. Our studio is in such an awesome area that we can easily incorporate a variety of looks including an urban feel by just stepping outside of our studio. Having access to such a great area gives us a variety of backdrops in a matter of minutes. We are anxiously awaiting our big senior season that will be beginning in a couple of months.
