Thanks to our wonderful clientele, we’ve been fortunate to continue to expand, grow and push the boundaries of business & photographic techniques.
Our photography business first took off with wedding photography. In 2008, weddings became the staple of our business and soon the calendar was full. Our style quickly became recognized. The following year brought in more weddings along with an ever-expanding portrait business. Our portrait photography includes family, corporate and graduates.
Soon other photographers and organizations were finding our images fresh and intriguing. This led us to teach workshops and speak at the national conventions (PPA, WPPI and SYNC). Our photography seminars quickly became standing-room-only venues because photographers were anxious to learn from our dynamic team. From Anchorage to Aruba, the photography workshops and seminars brought us in touch with many fellow photographers.
2009 was an Award winning year for Scott. He received the coveted “Senior Portrait Artist of the Year” along with (for the first time ever) “Top new Artist of the Year”. Our prints were receiving many merits on the national level. We have been awarded the “Photographic Craftsman” designation by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA).
In 2010 we opened up a new full-service commercial studio in downtown Norfolk. The studio allowed us to concentrate on our award-winning portraits as well as diversify our portfolio into fashion, music photography and commercial photography.
In 2010 the doors were opened for us to enter the word of volume photography. Volume photography, you might ask? We went from photographing about 100 events a year to photographing 100s of people per hour! We grew from photographing and few people to photographing tens of thousands to people in schools, to sport leagues and dance schools every year.
In 2018 we expanded our business even more! We expanded and added on our own photo lab in house. Since then we have been self sustained photographing and producing all of our orders in our Norfolk, Virginia studio.
In 2019 we decided to that must step back from offering wedding photography, maternity and newborn photography to clear our schedule to service our ever growing volume business.
Our style is rooted in landscape and nature photography while embracing the latest technology. Our studio work continues to evolve through experimentation that can be attributed to having little or no parameters. We believe a passion for innovation fosters evolutionary leaps in learning. This style and learning technique is a cornerstone to our photography. Our influences include an eclectic mix of photographers from Ansel Adams to Henk Van Kooten, and from Jose Villa to Joey Lawrence.
We are Scott and Adina Hayne of Hayne Photographers, and we’d like to be your life-long photographer.
