Once we have booked a band for a professional photo session we have a consultation. The consultation helps us understand who the band is and the look and feel they want to create. We need to understand the genre of music, the persona and the style of the band. We often start our consultation with the question, “What are you looking for in your band photography?”. We also instruct them to send us inspirational images. If a band does not have inspirational images, we ask them to send us images they don’t like.
