Mark & Meghan Wedding Slideshow Half Moon, Norfolk Virginia | Wedding Photography

Mark & Meghan put together an awesome wedding for themselves and a “few” of their closest family & friends. We played a fly on the wall and took a few shots, listened to some sweet tunes, and enjoyed seeing a brand new couple start out on the right foot into a new life together. Check out the slideshow and you’ll see what I mean!

Wedding George Mason University – Kevin & Molly | Wedding Photography

You just can’t beat a Christmas wedding! The colors and lights were spectacular and for some reason the chill in the air along with the snowflakes just seemed “right”. Molly & Kevin snuggled up outside for a few shots in downtown Fairfax before strolling around the cozy Mason Inn. Our photobooth had the guests laughing all night but the jello cake topper, well, frankly took the cake! Congratulations Molly & Kevin!

Wedding Slideshow Warrenton, Virginia Wedding – Ashley & Matt

Oh, look! It’s a 2-for-2012 Monday! Another slideshow from our wedding a few weeks ago in Northern Virginia. It was a wonderful fall weekend that we spent with our family so it was a kind of mini-vacation. Matt & Ashley had a simple wedding in the quaint downtown area of Warrenton, VA. It’s about to be famous since we just missed the filming of Clint Eastwood’s new movie, “J. Edgar” on the same courthouse steps that Ashley & Matt said their vows. So, keep an eye out for a few landmarks in the slideshow that will be in the movie! Congratulations guys!

Wedding Slideshow Colonial Heritage Golf Club, Williamsburg – Jessica & Ray

A most amazing wedding day slideshow is just a click away. I know you can barely contain yourself, but just bear with me a sec while I extol the awesomeness of this wedding. So Ray is a wrestler…and he had all his wrestling buddies with him. It’s funny how everyone was so well behaved. I can’t imagine why…… Jessica on the other hand was not a wrestler. Therefore, her bridesmaids were just as stunning as she. God opened up the sky just in time for some heavenly pics as the wrestler and his bride walked down the grassy aisle into wedded bliss. Kinda fairytale-ish don’t ya think? Okay, you can click the play button now and check it out for yourself!

Warrenton Virginia Wedding – Ashley & Matt | Wedding Photography

Went up north for a few days to see the fall colors and, oh yeah…take some pics of a most awesome couple – Ashley & Matt.  I must say Ashley is family so we had other motives for joining them on a breezy cool November day but hey, they looked killer and seeing family was a nice bonus!  We were able to stroll around historic downtown Warrenton and get some great shots while the leaves blew down the cobblestone streets.  It was a joy to shoot a nice relaxed wedding with folks that we all knew.  Congrats Ashley & Matt!

Colonial Heritage Club Williamsburg, Virginia – Ray & Jessica | Wedding Photography

Ray and Jessica tied the proverbial “knot” at the fabulous Colonial Heritage Golf Club on a spectacular November day. The clouds were amazing and the grounds of the Colonial heritage Club was immaculate. Needless to say, give us a few minutes with a gorgeous couple, add in some killer skies and voila! stunning shots of a stunning couple. Of course Jessica’s Pure English Bridal dress was a perfect choice as it looked amazing in the golden, late afternoon sun! We wish you both the best – congrats guys!

Wedding Virginia Beach Oceanfront – Tom & Leslie | Wedding Photography

Tom & Leslie rolled out the red carpet for a few of their friends & family a couple weeks ago. Guess what? I got to take pictures of this terrific couple! Imagine that. As a matter of fact, here’s a few of them now. Congrats Tom & Leslie the future is an open book….start writing your story! Ready. Set. Go!

Wedding Cavalier Yacht Club Virginia Beach – John & Diana | Wedding Photography

Nothing like a wedding down by the water on a beautiful fall day!  That’s just what Diana & John got for their first day of wedded bliss on the beautiful grounds & marina of the Cavalier Yacht Club.  The rain held off just enough for the ceremony & cocktail hour then a brief shower and cool breezes for the rest of the night with the sounds of Rodney Charles echoing across the water.  The tents were lit up like beacons in the night thanks to Blue Steel Pro Lighting while the fabulous Pearl Taylor from Uniquely Yours  kept the whole day running like clockwork – perfection.  The two dresses from Maya Couture sparkled to go along with the decor of the room and even the cake from Patti Cakes had some sparkle to it.  Simply amazing!  Botanique had flowers cascading everywhere which looked and smelled awesome.  It was a joy to spend the day with John & Diana and we wish them the best in what I am sure will be a fun-filled life together!

Wedding at the Homestead, Hot Springs, VA – Mary & Patrick | Wedding Photography

Just so you know, the Homestead is in the middle of nowhere which makes it cool to me.  Whipping through the mountain passes and poof! all of a sudden there is this awesome resort hotel staring at you in your face.  Bizarre yet awesome at the same time.  A perfect place for a wedding I’d say!  Mary & Patrick sure thought so and I can’t think of a better place myself.  You may recognize Mary from a previous post HERE but alas! you’d be oh so wrong.  We recently photographed her twin sister’s wedding with (imagine that!) the same results – killer pics of a stunning couple.  This was Mary & Patrick’s day and it turned out glorious with cool breezes and trees showing the beginnings of their fall colors.  We had a terrific time meeting Patrick’s family for the first time and Mary’s family again after just a few weeks apart.  Her dress from Pure English Bridal was perfect for her and the ambiance of The Homestead.  The flowers by Country Garden Florist had the Homestead look and smelling delightful. Here’s a few other folks who made the day spectacular: DJ: Richard Green Entertainment Lighting & Decor: Posh Event Firm Hair & Makeup: Onyx Premier Hair Salon Linens: BBJ Linens Cake: The WildFlour Here’s a few shots from their spectacular day!

Mary & Turner Aftershoot Norfolk | Couples Photography

Mary and Turner returned for a late afternoon shoot at the Japanese Gardens in downtown Norfolk with us and it was great to get to know them a bit more after we shot their wedding a few weeks ago.  Aftershoots are a ton of fun and they have even been called “therapeutic” since it is a separate shoot from their wedding day where the bride & groom can let their hair down so-to-speak.  Away from the hustle & bustle of the wedding day our Aftershoots offer our couples a refreshing time where we can do some more creative shooting without the risk of getting the gown a bit dirty on the wedding day!  In Mary & Turners case her dress from Maya Couture made it through just fine but some of our bride & grooms end up in the water or rolling around in the beach…..you name it!  Mary’s make-up was terrific thanks to the talents of Kim Wadsworth and we even did some studio shooting to show that off.  So, if you want a do-over for your wedding day, or in Mary & Turner’s case just an evening out together for a few stress-free shots in your wedding attire – contact us and we’ll set up your own Aftershoot just for you!

Mary & Turner

Come with us as we walk you through the most amazing wedding day of Mary & Turner!  The Virginia Beach Resort & Conference Center was dressed to the “T’s” and Mary’s dress from Maya Couture looked rather stunning on the beach as the sun set over the Chesapeake Bay. The Virginia Beach Resort & Conference Center was transformed into an elegant party with the lightshow put on by Blue Steel Lighting and music from Arch Entertainment.  Behind the scenes Weddings by Michelle kept everything going like clockwork and the make up by Kim Wadsworth looked fresh all night long.  From the flowers by Daevid’s of Norfolk to the delicious cake by Patti Cakes I must say it was a little bit of heaven on the east coast.  It couldn’t have been for a batter couple – Mary & Turner congrats!

The Water Table Virginia Beach – Doug & Crystal | Wedding Photography

A day at the Botanical Gardens topped off by an evening at the Water Table was on tap for Doug & Crystal’s wedding day.  We had the honor of photographing their wedding and working with some of the finest wedding vendors in the business.  Weddings by Michelle had the entire day going like clockwork and the Water Table was looking amazing thanks to the flowers by Isha Foss and the lighting by the always stunning Blue Steel Pro Lighting.  The makeup by Rebecca Wood looked fresh all day and night.  DJ Rodney Charles from Arch Entertainment kept the party grooving and of course Carolina Cupcakery whipped up a batch of delicious cupcakes for everyone. While the Botanical Gardens offered serenity during the picture perfect day the evening down by the water at Rudee Inlet offered a one of a kind experience by the water for Doug & Crystals family & guests.  The night ended with a beautiful evening cruise as the wedding couple left the dock via boat and cruised the peaceful waters of the Atlantic Ocean.  We had such a wonderful time interacting with the guests in our photobooth and we look forward to hearing amazing things from Doug & C rystal!  Here’s a few shots from the eventful day:
