Colonial Heritage Club Williamsburg, Virginia – Ray & Jessica | Wedding Photography

Ray and Jessica tied the proverbial “knot” at the fabulous Colonial Heritage Golf Club on a spectacular November day. The clouds were amazing and the grounds of the Colonial heritage Club was immaculate. Needless to say, give us a few minutes with a gorgeous couple, add in some killer skies and voila! stunning shots of a stunning couple. Of course Jessica’s Pure English Bridal dress was a perfect choice as it looked amazing in the golden, late afternoon sun! We wish you both the best – congrats guys!

An Evening With David Tutera at the Hilton Oceanfront

We had the unique honor of covering an event with David Tutera of “My Fair Wedding” fame at the Hilton Oceanfront. Pearl Taylor of Uniquely Yours Events took charge and showcased the Hilton as I have never seen it! It truly looked magnificent complete with 12 foot ice sculptures, a live band, the most amazing food and lighting by Blue Steel Lighting. It seemed that everywhere I turned there were shots begging to be taken so I had a busy night of not only shooting David Tutera but also capturing this once in a lifetime event with the Hilton dressed to the “T’s”! We snuck a picture of Adina with David but as usual I was working the camera. And, in case you are wondering – he is actually just as nice in person as he is on the show! A true gentleman, the real deal.

Wedding Slideshow Norfolk Yacht Club – Nathan & Ashley

Classic beauty and suave sophistication were married the other day and their names were Nathan & Ashley. I’ll let you figure out who is who… Whenever we shoot a wedding at the Norfolk Yacht Club it just adds to the classiness to the whole event. Throw in the amazing architecture of the First Presbyterian Church of Norfolk and you end up with the coolest pics! Here’s a few of our favs via a slideshow:

Newport News Wedding Slideshow – Andrew & Emily

Andrew and Emily pulled out all the stops – and that is a good thing. Newport News didn’t know what they were in for when this totally cool couple tied the knot the other day! I got to go “click-click” as they put on a great show for their guests. Enjoy the show! We did! Congrats Andrew & Emily!

Chesapeake/Norfolk Marriott Wedding – Josh and Marjorie!

Josh and Marjorie put on quite a show on their wedding day for a “few” of their family and friends. The dancing – epic. The gown – to die for. The guys – rockstars. The photography wasn’t too bad either. Here’s a few for ya’! Congrats guys!

Chrysler Museum Wedding – Leo and Anastasia

The food just kept coming and the dancing was non-stop!  If this is what having a Russian wedding is like than I am defecting… They do know how to throw a party!  Leo and Anastasia took over the Chrysler Museum and made it their own for a few hours last week.  They danced across Huber Court while their guests feasted on some authentic Russian cuisine put together by Cuisine & Company.  We wish them the best and look forward to hearing amazing things about their new life together!  Here’s a few shots as we strolled around Botanical Gardens and spent the evening at the always fabulous Chrysler Museum:

Wedding at Norfolk Yacht Club – Nathan & Ashley

Some people find meaning in their job.  Some in their kids.  Nathan & Ashley found it in each other.  They don’t need a wedding for it to show….they just ooze love & happiness.  Their wedding was at First Presbyterian Church in Norfolk which just looked stunning with the cathedral ceilings and stained glass.  The Norfolk Yacht Club is where the fun began with amazing food, music & dancing.  It was a joy to spend the day with everyone!  Congrats Nathan & Ashley!

Beach Wedding Virginia – Amanda & Andy

Two of the coolest people are on tap for you today – Andy & Amanda! Pour yourself a big drink of this awesome couple and maybe, just maybe, you will be as in love with your significant other as Andy & Amanda are with each other. You catch all that? The Atlantic ocean was being nice to us and the sky was this amazing blue that slowly morphed into a glorious sunset. The pelicans even flew by for a cameo as they kissed on the lifeguard stand. Say what? Pelicans I said. The ringbearer and flowergirl were just the cutest together….I could have spent all day shooting them! Congratulations guys, welcome to the crazy world of married life.

Westin Virginia Beach Wedding – Tom and Angie

A class act is what I would call it. A very classy but unique wedding at the Westin Virginia Beach is what Angie & tom had on order a few week ago. Antonia Christianson events made sure that the guests were treated to some local treats including Doumar’s ice cream, Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and gourmet popcorn. A truly delicious combination! The flowers by Daevid’s Bridal Flowers were stunning along with the awesome lighting by Pike Media. I say all that to say this – you missed out on a whole lotta fun but we’ll try to take you on a quick tour of the day via slideshow. Enjoy!

Aruba Wedding Pre-Shoot (Jeff & Jing) – Destination Wedding

“One Happy Island”, that’s what they call Aruba. I can see why with so many things to see it is just a phenomenal place to photograph. Aruba really is unique as a Caribbean island with cactus, ruins, Divi trees and white sandy beaches – a combination you will find nowhere else! I would go to Aruba just to photograph the ruins, the crashing waves on the windward side and the white beaches of Eagle Beach. Now, give me a couple of beautiful people and that is just the cherry on top! We joined Jeff & Jing in Aruba for their wedding at the Westin where their wedding was going to be right on Palm Beach. Before their wedding though we headed out to photograph all around the tiny 19 mile island of Aruba. Our first stop was at the Alto Vista Chapel that sits high on a mountain top that gives a tremendous view of the entire island. After photographing there for a bit we headed down the dirt roads toward the rough side of Aruba where the waves constantly pound the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Jeff & Jing were willing to do about anything as we perched them on the edge of cliffs with waves crashing all around them. The Natural Bridge provided a quiet place for a few shots as we continued our 4-wheel drive trek through the outback of Aruba. The Bushiribana Gold Smelter Ruins gave us a great view of the Atlantic and the crumbling rocks of the ruins provided a very unique backdrop. Before we left we made sure to build a wishing rock tower in island tradition. While there was much to see on the windward side of Aruba we raced the sun back to the other side for some shots with the white sand beaches that Aruba is known for. Jeff & Jing were up for a roll in the surf so we kicked off our shoes for an Aruban “trash the dress” shoot! Before we dove in though we made sure to find the famous Divi trees on Eagle Beach for a couple of photographs. Destination wedding photography can be a real challenge with the travel and logistical issues but people like Jeff & Jing and locations like Aruba make it so worth while. All in all the day of photography was a boatload of fun as we explored Aruba with our good friends and got to know them and the island a whole lot better! Stay tuned for wedding pics!

Jennifer and Cameron Got Married

A couple of cool people got married the other day in Yorktown. I like cool people so I took a few shots….then a few more. Gee, I guess we ended up staying all night at the Freight Shed in Yorktown for their wedding! A great location right on the York river with a couple of fabulous people – what more could you ask for? Congratulations, Jennifer and Cameron – you rock!

Josh & Tiffany

I get Tiffany and Josh. They keep it simple. Just lots of love and a few good dance moves. What more do you need, really? They put on a fabulous ceremony and reception at Ohef Sholom Temple with a “few” of their friends and family. Here’s a sneak peek into their amazing evening. Congrats guys!
