Fashion Photo Session This fashion photography session was for these unique fascinators. Fascinators is a headpiece. It is describe as a fine, lacy head covering according to Wikipedia. When we are hired as a photographer for a fashion shoot, we know that we are going to capture some unique images. For a fashion shoot details are well planned out because the end goal is to have these photos for marketing and advertising. Fashion Style The style of the fascinators were so unique that the make up artist matched the style of make up to the feel of the head piece. We always consult with out fashion clients prior to the photography session to ensure that capture the vision of their product. Using a variety of backgrounds and lighting that help highlight the product is critical. Fashion Shoot Lighting Natural light is always a gorgeous flattering light. We photographed this segment in our natural light area of our studio. We have a large studio that provides multiple sets and multiple lighting set ups. View our studio here. (link) We sometimes will partner our natural window light with a reflector to give the subject’s eye a beautiful sparkle. Beauty Dish Fashion Lighting Using a 22″ beauty dish to bring out the contours of the face has always been a core part our photography. The unique abilities of the beauty dish when set in front and above the subject creates a one of a kinds type of light. The beauty dish is a focused light that directs the viewers eye to exactly what you want them to focus on. NOFO soaps is an amazing product. When someone creates an amazing product you need amazing product photography to show it off. When you are selling your products having great photos is critical. In a world of internet sales, photos that make your product stand out in the market can make a huge difference in your bottom line. With product photography we try to make the viewer experience everything about the product. Having props to incorporate with the product helps bring the product to life. These images show the technique of incorporating props with the product photography.It is our job as a product photographer to help the viewer use their senses to experience the specific product. These bars of soap have a coffee fragrance. You can see how we added coffee grounds to the scene so that the viewer can imagine the smell of these beautiful bars of soap. Also, by using a macro lens we are able to show off the detail of the product. If you look closely you will see the coffee grounds embedded in the bar of soap. Can you smell this soap? Here is another photo that we incorporated the glass with the bar of soap. We wanted to viewer to understand the base for this bar of soap. A local brewery, O’Conner Brewing donates their ale to NOFO soap to make this special line of soap. Last we set up this Shaving Bar Soap. What better way to show off the product then with a Boston Terrier endorsing it. We ended our photo shoot with a quick head shot with the creator of NOFO Soaps. We had the opportunity to do a website/marketing shoot with Davis Car Care because they are in the process of updating their website and marketing presence. They called us to get some “cool” shots. We were able to do the photograph the session on location at the garage. When shooting on location, especially in a car repair shop, you can find lots of toys to play with and use as props. Rene is Hollywood bound. She visited out studio to get some out of the ordinary and fabulous headshots done before heading west to update her portfolio.
