Wedding Aftershoot | Brooke and Peter | Charleston WV Capital | Destination Wedding Photographers

What do you get when you have 2 beautiful people, they get all dressed up in the wedding attire and they choose an amazing location for their aftershoot?….you get this… Brooke and Peter wanted to go over and beyond just beautiful wedding portraits.  They wanted the chance to put back on their wedding dress and suit and Brooke wanted the chance to have her hair and make up done.  After all of that, we spent a couple of amazing hours touring and photography them on location at the Charleston, WV Capital. Ah….it’s that time of the year.  It’s the time that uprising seniors are preparing to have their high school senior portraits done.  We love this time of the year.  Whether we are shooting our portrait session in the studio or on location, we love it.  Here’s Tatiana.  She wore lots of cool clothes and we shot in lots of cool locations.  We were able to photograph with vintage cars, on a vintage couch, and finally trashed the dress. Bridal Portraits at the Homestead | Mary | Destination Wedding Photographer

Ah…what can I say…The Homestead. Does luxury and relaxation get any better then there?  A beautiful setting with a beautiful view, with natural springs and, well, you name it and they have it. Actor Headshot Session and More | Rene | Virginia Headshot Photographer

Rene is Hollywood bound.  She visited out studio to get some out of the ordinary and fabulous headshots done before heading west to update her portfolio.  Rene wanted images that would make her stand out in a crowd. She has had many cameo spots on hit series and is currently on an upcoming episode of FBI:  Criminal Pursuit.  The episode is called  “An Unholy Season”.  It airs on Investigation Discovery. Senior Portraits | Lucas | Virginia Senior Portrait Artist

Ahhh….Lucas….a senior boy for senior portraits.  We just love that.  Since we have 2 boys of our own, we just love it when the guys come in for their senior session.  Lucas is a skater and a current senior and will be graduating in June.  With Lucas and his vibe, we thought it would be cool to capture him in an urban setting. Lucas has a sister named Haley, which you will see here.  We did her senior pictures in 2010.  We just love it when families return to us! Check out Lucas and all his coolness….

I just love when we have the opportunity to photograph people that making a difference the world.  Meet Glenn.  He is the pastor of Queen Street Baptist Church in downtown Norfolk.  Not only is he the pastor of the church, but the visionary and also a revitalizer of the downtown Norfolk area.  As if pastoring is not enough, Glenn is also an accomplished author. What an honor it was to do an environmental shoot in the city and the area he loves.  Here he is:

Graduating from college is such an amazing accomplishment. Photographing college graduates, is important because they have met such an amazing goal!    Meet Chelsea.  She will be graduating from Old Dominion University and will continue her education until she reaches her goal as a neurosurgeon.  We can’t wait to photography “The” Dr. Chelsea soon! Our hats are off to you Chelsea and celebrate with you!

Military families:  people that are near and dear to our heart.  The military is actually who brought us together.  Relocating Scott from the west all the way due east he landed in Virginia.  That is not the only reason that it is dear to us.  We have the highest respect and honor for these families.  What they give, no one will ever understand.  Meet Emily and Shayne.  Married, pregnant and now deployed for 7 months, deployed without being able to meet his brand new baby girl until she is 6 months old…that’s unselfish giving. Trash the Dress or Trash the Formal | Ashley | Virginia Senior Portrait Photographer

Sometimes it’s just fun to do something that is not the “typical setting” for a certain type of couture.  That is exactly why we love doing Trash the Dress and Trash the Formal Shoots.  Sometimes we find ourselves out shooting in the breaking of the waves of the Bay or Ocean.  Then sometimes we find ourselves shooting in the depths of an urban setting in the dirty, yet beautiful alley ways of downtown and on top of buildings.  That’s exactly what we did with Ashley.  Ashley came to her shoot in the perfect color for a Trash the Dress in an outdoor location.  We didn’t really trash her dress, but had fun trying! Engagement Session | Britt and Da Niel | Viriginia Wedding Photographer

Ah…it’s Tuesday afternoon and love is in the air.  We just love the fact that we get to document people’s lives through photography.  Britt and Da Niel are on the path to heading to the alter and they have entrusted us with their memories.  On a Friday afternoon, we got to stroll around the beautiful downtown Norfolk are captured some awesome urban and historic areas with this beautiful engaged couple!  We love the chance to do on location photography, especial outdoor photography when the weather is as beautiful as the couple that we are shooting.
