WPPI 2012 | Virginia Portrait Artist | Virginia Wedding and Destination Photographer
We have spent most of February out speaking at different venues, in different states, and before many photographers sharing how we do what we do. We have traveled from Florida to Arizona all in a short 29 days. We love the opportunity to hit the road and share about our photographic experience. Since the photographic industry has changed from photography film to digital, there are many changes that have been made in the way that we shoot, process and market. One of our stops in the month of February, was in Las Vegas, speaking at our national photography conference called WPPI. WPPI’s (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) attendance is generally 12,000 – 15,000 attracting photographers from all over the globe, so to be able to share there is an honor. This year we shared about wedding photography, both stateside and international, and about senior high photography . Thank you WPPI and H&H for the opportunity to share! Here are a few shots from the day. You can tell how passionate we are about sharing. It seems that every shot we have our mouths open!~

Our NEW Studio!
Hayne Photographers Studio from Scott Hayne on Vimeo. As many of you know we have recently moved our studio to a new location in downtown Norfolk, VA. It is certainly an exciting time for us as we grow and develop our business but along with it comes a new sense of responsibility for sure! This new location right on Granby Street in the heart of our fine city was a blank slate when we walked in a few months ago but with the help of Ikea and some bold fresh ideas in our heads we’ve come up with some swanky new digs. As always the client experience is #1 and we think we have a home run with our new furniture, hip lighting, a thumpin’ sound system along with Wii for the kids and munchies & drinks for everyone. The camera room is huge with 13 foot ceilings and 5 different shooting areas complete with state of the art lighting & backdrop systems. It’s taking some getting used to but I am really loving shooting with all this space! A designated changing room and make-up area will allow you to change faster and have you looking your best! All-in-all it is about triple the space (2000 sq.ft.) that we were in previously with plenty of parking and easy to locate. We’d love to have you stop by and just visit so we can show you around or maybe even catch us on a shoot and watch all the fun! Of course you could just drop by for a cup o’ joe & play the Wii…. 🙂
Professional Photographer Magazine
It’s always awesome to see your images in print but to get them in one of the premier photography magazines in the nation is…quite frankly mind numbing. We can’t quite get our head wrapped around the whole idea but we ain’t complainin’! It’s such an exciting and hectic time for us and I just had to stop and say a big thanks to everyone who encourages us and inspires us to do what we do. It’s what keeps us going! We’ve also been doing some interviews and webcasts recently. Here’s a peek into our short but exciting story and a few of our images from the Professional Photographers magazine (you can click the image to expand and read our articles): WPPI Radio interview More Photos Radio interview
